The SOAC Conference is the primary focus of the Australian Cities Research Network (ACRN), and meets every two years at an alternating city around Australia. It offers an excellent opportunity for you to reconnect with academic colleagues and hear about the latest developments.
AECURN AUSTRALASIAN EARLY CAREER URBAN RESEARCH NETWORK
SOAC 2017 wishes to acknowledge the contribution made by the Australasian Early Career Urban Research Network (AECURN) to the organisation of this year’s conference.
AECURN is a network of Early Career and PhD Researchers (ECRs) in urban and related research disciplines. It was established in 2013 following the first SOAC PhD Symposium held prior to the 2013 State of Australian Cities Conference in Sydney. In the four years since, AECURN has grown into a network of over 200 early career urban researchers from across Australia and New Zealand across multiple institutions and disciplines.
AECURN’s Board represents all Australian states and New Zealand, and hosts a range of academic, professional development and social events to support ECRs and raise their pro le in the discipline.
AECURN is indebted to the initial and continued generosity of the Australian Cities Research Network (ACRN) and senior urban researchers in supporting its activities.
